Kyousuke Hori[]
Kyosuke is Souta's father who seem to have a normal father-and-son relationship, although Souta adopts Kyouko Hori's manner of speaking to him very bluntly.
Kyousuke thinks that Souta resembles him.
Yuriko Hori[]
Yuriko is Souta's mother who have an average mother-and-son relationship, but they seldom (not often; rarely) interact one-on-one.
Kyouko Hori[]
Kyouko is Souta's older sister whom he has a good relationship with. Just like typical siblings, they love each other and bicker sometimes. He usually looks to his sister when facing problems since their parents are usually away. He loves his sister and does not want to lose her.

Izumi Miyamura[]
Souta and Miyamura have a good relationship. When they first meet, Miyamura rescues him from a dog and brings him home. Souta becomes highly attached to Miyamura and views him as an older brother figure, typically addressing him as "Nii-chan". Whenever Souta needs help, Miyamura is his second choice if Hori isn't available. He usually believes anything Miyamura tells him, which is shown when Miyamura tells him that honor students can shoot lasers out of their eyes. It's also evident he enjoys his company, as he usually asks Hori if Miyamura will be coming over, becoming disappointed if he finds out he is not.
Yuuna Okuyama[]
Yuuna is Souta's friend and classmate. When first introduced, she is shown bullying Souta for "being a crybaby" and too attached to his sister. However, her relationship with Souta soon becomes more friendly, and she comes over occasionally to play after this.
After the time skip, it is shown that Souta and Yuuna are now high school students and are in love with each other. At first, Yuuna became upset when she thought that he loved someone else, but she soon felt relieved when the latter revealed that it was her he loved. Amid the confession, Souta stated that he had liked Yuuna for as long as he could remember.
