Motoko Iura (井浦 基子 Iura Motoko?) is the younger sister of Shuu Iura.
Appearance[]
Motoko has short green hair and lime-green eyes.
In many regards, she is like a younger female version of Shuu Iura. When they are gender-swapped, they tend to look almost identical to each other. She is sometimes mistaken for a boy, probably due to her short hair, casual clothes and face, similar to Shuu.
Personality[]
Self-described as an untalkative, gloomy type, Motoko is the opposite of Shuu Iura. She tends to keep to herself and has a hard time making friends. However, unlike Shuu, this personality also carries over to her school life, though she is much more forceful and violent towards her brother than others. She is also pretty smart but lacks the confidence to use it too well.
She is three years younger than Shuu, making her a 3rd-year middle school student. Because she desperately wants to go to East High School (a very high-level school), Shuu helps her and arranges for her to get tutoring from Kyouko Hori for the entrance exam. Despite this, Motoko is not accepted and elects to attend Katagiri instead.
Plot[]
Iura is seen looking at Izumi Miyamura from an upper-floor window at school.
Relationships[]
Shuu Iura []
Motoko is Shuu's younger sister who he played lots of pranks on when they were younger; however, deep down, he truly cares for her. He often tries to do subtle things or things behind the scenes to help support her. His nickname for her is "Moto". They sometimes fight, and at home, they can act cold to eachother, but their love for one another is also very evident. In the past, Motoko was very possessive of her older brother, almost to a scary degree. When she's scared at night, Motoko will often go into Shuu's room and sleep next to him. Due to a misunderstanding, Motoko believes Shuu likes "Sengoku-san" and frequently asks about this and if they are dating.
Shuu had set Motoko up to get tutored by Kyoko Hori (as Shuu considers her one of the smartest people he knows) once he noticed that Motoko was trying her best to study every single day for her upcoming entrance exams so that she could get into ''East High/Yasaka'', a very prestigious school, that was also incredibly hard to get into, which you needed a very high ranking and score for. In the end, Motoko fails the entrance exams for East High/Yasaka, but, realizes that her rank is just high enough to get into Katagiri (the school that Shuu, as well as the rest of the cast go to) and she ends up going to Katagiri instead after Shuu attempts to cheer her up about her marks by telling her about the fact that she would most definitely like the Katagiri uniform more as it's cuter and would fit her better, unlike the ugly East High uniform. Hori and Shuu are later seen reminiscing on graduation day, and as they both look back on their memorable school days, they wish for Motoko to make just as many memories at Katagiri as they did.
Aoi Kitahara []
Motoko and Kitahara are classmates in middle school and, later, in high school. She likes Kitahara, though she never openly tells him so. At a minimum, they are close friends, and Kitahara treats Motoko kindly. However, after meeting Shuu, Kitahara seems to have directed his attention toward him, much to Motoko's displeasure.
Megumi Akitsu[]
Megumi is Motoko and Kitahara's classmate. Since she likes Kitahara, she is initially antagonistic towards Motoko due to the way Kitahara often goes over to Motoko's house and how Kitahara treats her nicely. However, after talking and discovering that Kitahara isn't dating her, Aki and Motoko become friends.
Trivia[]
- It is said by Shuu that both him and Motoko have the same facial features as their mother, which is why they are close to identical.
- When Motoko's hair gets longer, it becomes unruly so she prefers to keep it short.
