I Can't Say It Out Loud (「それは、言えないこと。」 'Sore wa, ienai koto.'?) is the fifth episode of the Horimiya anime.
Synopsis[]
Hori does not know how to face MIyamura after his love declaration. But she'll have to do it, sooner or later. The moment arrives and the way everything goes is never like someone expects it.
Summary[]
While on his way to school, Souta notices Miyamura walking with a girl. When Souta tells Hori about it, she becomes upset and avoids Miyamura the next day at school. After learning about her avoiding him, Miyamura attempts to reach out to her after school and first asks if she was awake when he confessed last night. However, Hori asks Miyamura who he was with that morning. He reveals it was Shindou's girlfriend Chika who tripped and fell over Shindou and twisted her ankle, resulting in him carrying both Chika and Shindou to school. However, Miyamura saying Chika's first name irritates Hori to the point of throwing her textbooks at him before storming off.
Despite the incident, Miyamura regardless visits Hori to return her textbooks and the two apologise and clear up the misunderstandings. Shortly, Hori reveals to Miyamura she was awake that night. Before they could continue, they are interrupted by Hori's father Kyousuke who has decided to make an unexpected visit. When he asks if the two are dating, Hori confirms their relationship, surprising Miyamura. While walking back home, the two hold hands and Miyamura tells Hori that he wishes to gradually know more about her. Once the two stop, Hori turns to head back but Miyamura grabs her wrist and thanks her before letting her go. As he watches Hori leave, Miyamura becomes flustered, realizing how hard it is now to say goodbye. Later, Tooru learns about Hori and Miyamura dating and though dejected, he supports their relationship and reaffirms his friendship with Miyamura.
The next day, Sakura watches Tooru and his friends and feels she is unattractive compared to Remi but after giving it some thought, she eventually confides to Remi about her crush on Tooru.
